Just a month ago I was going on with the daily grind.  Doing the normal things such as lesson plans, art projects, and home life. I never would have expected this unprecedented circumstance that we are all going through.   This current situation will be marked in the history books.
My current state of mind: "I choose not to let this pandemic get the best of me"
Yes, I will follow guidelines and restrictions.  I will look out for others by washing my hands often, abide by the rule of social distancing, and use this time to focus on what is needed. I'm sure that my students are probably going a little stir crazy and could use a little art therapy.  I will plan on using this time to concern myself with outreach and mobile learning.
For some time now, I have tried to find new and interesting ways to use social media as a way of connecting with my students and families. To look on the positive side, I think I have plenty  of time to now discover new and interesting avenues of teaching.  I've had this website for a while and never really used it to full capacity.  This is a goal, while sheltering in place, to explore this possibility.
