Personal Mission

The uncaged canary is a symbol of hope, reminding that I am free from fear.  Creating and teaching art is a act of service in gratitude for the life God has given.
The corners I have turned in faith have lead me to a path of happiness, peace, and love.

Sometimes overthinking creativity can be overwhelming.  I have to remind myself that art if for the purpose of joy and storytelling.  Sometimes just to study a subject and just see the object can calm the spirit and awaken the motivation.

Over the summer, I have been motivated to work in my community, helping business owners with beautification. It is good to work with business owners who are real friends that are like-minded and have passions that go beyond financial motivation.
Early in my career, I painted murals.  This assisted with paying my way through collage and attempting different avenues in the field of art.  I have now matured in my craft and as a full circle experience I'm tapping back into my roots.

When traveling to different places, I experience the impact of art and see how public art can uplift a community.  As I grow in maturity, my service as an artist makes the difference and properly prioritized my professional motivation.

"The Journey is the Destination"

My husband Bill and I love living an adventurous life with our dog Grace.  We have been living in Charlotte NC for over 5 years.  We take on life's journey to the fullest.  I love being in nature and explore it whenever possible.  We travel when ever we get the chance but love living a quiet, God-centered life at home.

I feel that it is important to live, create, and teach with the understanding that a life is worth experiencing and is better when you give in service.  My  relationships, art, and teaching experiences are based in the belief that one must take life as it comes and to love others unconditionally.  I see the beauty in all of God's creation.
